Dermal Fillers
Dermal Fillers fill in creases and fine lines around the mouth, and plump cheeks and lips. Fillers will replace the volume under facial wrinkles and fill the skin out to appear smooth and youthful. Fillers can be a Botox alternative or used in conjunction with Botox for full correction. Loftus Total Skin Care offers a variety of fillers to achieve great results.
Commonly Treated Areas
Injectable fillers can plump thin lips, fill in shallow contours, soften creases, remove wrinkles and improve the appearance of recessed scars.

How to Prepare
One week before treatment, patients should avoid taking aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (Advil, Aleve, Motrin, Celebrex, Naproxen, etc.), St. John’s Wort, fish oil or high doses of Vitamin E supplements. This will help reduce any bruising or bleeding at the injection site. All of our fillers are FDA approved and do not require an allergy test.
What to Expect During Treatment
Most filler procedures at Loftus Total Skin Care take about an hour. To eliminate discomfort, we use topical numbing cream. Many of our patients find that there was no discomfort whatsoever.
Recovery
There is usually no recovery time with most fillers. You may encounter some temporary symptoms, such as redness, pain, firmness, swelling, but these usually clear up within a few hours to a few days. For 24 hours following treatment, you should avoid excessive exercise, sun exposure, and alcohol consumption in order to minimize the risk of temporary redness, swelling, bruising, and/or itching at the treatment sites.
Results
Results are seen immediately and last 6-24 months, depending on the filler chosen.
Typical Candidate
Good candidates for fillers include physically healthy women and men who want to improve their appearance. Fillers are not appropriate for women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant.
