Why have Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup is great for those who are on the go and do not want to deal with the hassle of applying makeup daily. It is also ideal for those with poor eyesight or unsteady hands or those with sensitivities to traditional cosmetics. Properly applied, permanent makeup is so natural that your neighbor will never know you are wearing it!
What should I do to prepare for this procedure?
Bring the makeup that you use daily to your consultation so that we can try to match it with your new permanent makeup. This is especially true for lip color, eyeliner, and brow color. Avoid taking aspirin, NSAIDS, fish oil, vitamin E, alcohol, and other blood thinners one week prior to your procedure. At KJSC, we recommend a consultation before your procedure, but it is not required.
What should I expect from this procedure?
Following your procedure, you may have some minor bruising, swelling, and itching. Your makeup will appear darker at first, but will lighten during the healing process which can take up to two weeks. After that, you will be able to enjoy a simpler morning routine.
Dr Loftus' Tip of the Month
Our patients love our permanent lip color, eyeliner, and eyebrows. Many wonder why we don't offer blush for cheek color. This is because your cheeks change color from year to year, season to season, and moment to moment. So, there is no way to do this and have it look natural. Take our advice and stick with lip color, eyeliner, and eyebrows when it comes to permanent makeup!
