Semi- Permanent Makeup
Semi-Permanent makeup (also known as permanent makeup) is a non-surgical procedure that involves placement of pigment into the skin for a natural and enhanced cosmetic look. The results are beautiful and immediate, giving you a refreshing and radiant look that cannot be duplicated by traditional cosmetics and lasts for years.
Commonly Treated Areas
- Upper and/or Lower Eyeliner
How to Prepare
To minimize the risk of bruising, avoid all aspirin products, niacin, Vitamin E, ibuprofen products, fish oils, flaxseed oil, alcohol, and other blood thinners for one week prior to procedure. Drink plenty of water the day before your procedure, as hydrated skin retains pigment more easily.
What to Expect During Treatment
An anesthetic is injected by a registered nurse to numb the treated area, making you more comfortable during the procedure. In some cases, a topical numbing cream may be used in lieu of injected local anesthetic. The procedure typically lasts 2 hours, depending on the area. Once the treatment is complete, ointment is applied to help heal the area.
Directly after your procedure, expect slight swelling and redness. Few patients experience bruising, and minimal bleeding. These side effects should subside within 48 hours. After your procedure, you will notice that your pigment is darker than expected. This is normal, and the pigment will lighten as you go through the healing process which will last about a month.
Results are seen immediately and could last as long as 3 years. 3D Feathered Brow applications last 1 to 1½ years.
Semi-Permanent Makeup is great for those who are on the go and do not want to deal with the hassle of applying makeup daily. It is ideal for those with poor eyesight or unsteady hands or those with sensitivities to traditional cosmetics. If you are looking for a hassle free morning routine, you’re a candidate for semi-permanent makeup.
